Anthrax Alestorm All That Remains

Anthrax

NAME: Persistence of Time
ARTIST: Anthrax
RATING:
REVIEW: Persistence of Time was Anthrax's 5th street released album, debut in August 21st 1990, being that they were one of the earlier heavy metal bands. The best song on this album, in my opinion has to be "In my World". It starts off with a sort of humming guitar beat, and keeps the same feeling throughout the entire song. Anthrax shows it's high, distinct voice through the vocals of Joey Belladonna and quick strumming of Dan Spitz. This was the last released album featuring his singing. A couple other songs you should check on this album are : Time, Belly of the Beast and Got the Time. It's an all around good album, and if you're in the mood for heavy guitar and an oldschool metal beat, go find this album :D

A Perfect Circle

NAME: Mer de Noms
ARTIST: A Perfect Circle
RATING:
REVIEW: Formed by Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. Carried into the older styles of Tool seen in the early 90's. The way they captivated alt-rock and mixed it with metal was not lost. After a disband of Tool in 1996 after a legal suit, and splitting up two years later, Keenan joined Billy Howerdel and Paz Lenchantin to form A Perfect Circle. This album was realeased in 2000. Some songs to listen to are Rose, which is a very mellow song with the distinct feel of NIN's percussions, and Judith.

All That Remains

NAME: The Fall of Ideals
ARTIST: All That Remains
RATING:
REVIEW: This album is TRUEY amazing. It has so many hits on it. The first song on the album is This Calling which is a great song to start the album off with. Its got a high pitched scream and double bass the second you put the track on. The chorus on this track is very catchy and clear. After you get though that track then comes on Not Alone which just from the begging guitar you know it will be a good song. It has so much power to it. I don't know what other song would get you pumped. The other hits off this album are Six and The Air that I Breath. Six comes before, and its a little different with the kick ass smooth guitar in the middle of the song. Then its The Air that I Breath which is the most famous song off the album and its basically a fight song, so if your mad or need some energy go listen to this song. What do I say? Go buy this album its worth it.

Atreyu

NAME: The Curse
ARTIST:Atreyu
RATING:
REVIEW: Some people hate Atreyu but I think this is a very good album before they went a little suckish. Atreyu in there good years when they were a hard-core band and not played on the top 40, this is the album you will want to have. I have to say my favorite song on the album is 'Bleeding Mascara' its a catchy song and fucking badassed if you asked me. Another great song is 'This Flesh Tomb' love the vocals on this song, the whole album too has amazing vocals. Overall awesome album if you find it cheap for like $7 bucks I would get it, its nice to just have going on in a room while chillinnn! Other great songs are 'The Crimson' 'Demonology and Heartache' and 'Corseting'.

As Blood Runs Black

NAME: Allegiance
ARTIST:As Blood Runs Black
RATING:
REVIEW: God this whole album makes me bust both of my nuts. Goddamn like I mean I know the album cover is the band members but I swear its got to have some zombie inspiration in there. But anyways, awesome music especially the bass booster. Great song 'In Dying Days' best guitar riffs I mean I could listen to the song over and over again, I love it. Next great song that comes right after that song is 'My Fears Have Become Phobias' the vocals are amazing on this track they balance everything perfectly bridge is great too. A personal favorite of mine is 'The Brighter Side Of Suffering' it's got clean vocals that you can actually understand them which is rare today haha. Last personal song I love is 'Strife (Chug Chug)' the beginning just gets me with the drums, they have an awesome drummer thats for sure. I like the verity of how he scream/yells at the end of the song, reminds me of Hatebreed which I don't think you can go wrong with. Over all whole album is worth whatever the price is really once you listen to this album you will be a As Blood Runs Black fan for sure and will be begging for more.

NAME: Awaken the Dreamers
ARTIST:All Shall Perish
RATING:
REVIEW: Ahh, here we have the newest release from the groundbreaking deathcore band, All Shall Perish. The Price of Existence, their previous album, was no less than an absolute success. They are the farthest thing from a typical deathcore band, or any other band in the newest wave of metal. But here we have Awaken The Dreamers. With main riffs as techinical and unique as solos, every song blows you away as much as the one before. A lot of bands lately have been oddly interested in politics, for reasons unknown. ATD is based off of this same theory lyrically, but Eddie pulls off unique and powerful lyrics, along with some of the highest pitched and cleanest highs in the metal scene today. He also uses pig squeals (not "bree brees" as some would call it, dont by mostly underground "scene bands"), but ASP are some of the original innovators if good pig squeals, used in amounts not of too little or too much. Vocally, the album is great. The guitarists are also nothing less than incredible. The riffs are more unique and powerful than most of the bands have been shitting out lately. They are extremely technical on guitars, and the talent is unmatched. Drums are very upbeat and unique also, to match the absolute insanity pouring out of the guitarists. I would also like to highlight the bassist and give him his dues. Now, when people pick up an album, they usually listen to the song that the album is named after. This album should be no exception. The song Awaken the Dreamers has a segment of intense bass fills meant to blow the mind of all listeners. Nobody is left out in Awaken the Dreamers. Next time you scrape up 15 dollars from your piggy bank, skip the weed or fast food and buy yourself this album. You will NOT regret it.
